As you may already be aware of, the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (“MiFID”) will enter into force as of November 1st, 2007. MiFID is a new set of unified regulations that is introduced across the European Economic Area. It is designed to enhance the investors’ protection, and introduces a framework for the capital markets that will apply to investment services and firms across Europe.
