Fotka Tomáš Klápště Tomáš Klápště

Tomáš Klápště, Managing Director of Patria Finance and Head of Corporate Finance, is responsible for management of Patria’s Corporate Finance services and major projects in the field of M&A, IPO and valuations. He has more than 16 years of corporate finance & capital markets experience during which he worked on many benchmark deals, including: divestitures of Prague Stock Exchange, GTS Group, Techniline, Fortuna Group, Hasil, Gumotex‘ subsidiary, Czech International, Strojírny Poldi, PVT, MSA, ZPS Energetika, Zenitel Colsys, advisory to ČEZ on sale of many non-core assets (ECKG, ECK, TDK, EOP), acquisition of Seznam and PSE for Tiger Global Management, ERSTE Bank on acquisition of Česká spořitelna, Skanska on acquisition of IPS, or ČSA’s Duty Free for Aelia/Lagardere. Among his important clients are also KMV, PKN Orlen, SUEZ Environment, Telefonica O2, MOL, GZ Digital Media and Metrostav.

Prior to joining Patria in 1999, Tomáš worked in Expandia Finance. His execution mandates include the Leveraged Buy Out of Later Chrudim and the privatizations of metallurgical companies KCM, Alumina, and Preskov in Bulgaria. In 1994–1996 he worked in a mutual fund as Equity Analyst focused on voucher privatisation.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of Patria Finance, a.s. and Supervisory Board of Patria Finance Slovakia, a.s.

Tomáš holds a Masters degree from the University of Economics, Prague and an MBA degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in the US Business School program.

Fotka Matej Říha Matej Říha

Matej Říha was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of Patria Finance Slovakia, a.s.  in 2007. He is in charge of both Corporate Finance and Patria Direct business lines. 

Prior to joining Patria Finance Slovakia, he occupied several managerial positions in leading commercial banks. As a priority, his career was dedicated to corporate banking, predominantly to large corporate/multinational clients and structured finance (i.e. syndications, project finance and trade finance). 

He had been working also for U.K. London based consulting company as a member of advisory team mandated for restructuring several institutions.

Petr Kováč is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Patria Corporate Finance and Executive Director of Patria Finance. He is responsible for leading transactions globally and for services development in the field of M&A, ECM and financial advisory. He joined Patria in 1995 and became the driving force in the development of the firm’s corporate finance business. Petr participated in the realization of more than 90 transactions and projects for domestic and foreign clients including projects for OKD, KBC, Agrofert Holding, Torecid, Baťa, Czech Government, Ministry of Transport, Czech Telecom (now Telefónica O2), Metrostav, Vinci or Czech Railways

Petr led, amongst others, the land marking transactions in the constructing sector in the Czech Republic – the acquisition of IPS by Skanska and the divestiture of ŽPSV Uherský Ostroh/ŽS Brno to Obrascón Huarte Lain, S.A. Other projects of his include bond issues for Vetropack Moravia Glass and Delvita (Delhaize) and general advisory services to Průmstav, Tradisa, CD Cargo, Aéroports de Paris, Grall, Viamont and the SEPAP Štětí (now Mondi Packaging). Most recently, he has been assisting NWR (OKD)in raising  €1,6 billion via largest IPO on the London Stock Exchange, the Prague Stock Exchange and the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2008.

Prior to joining Patria Petr was a deputy CFO at Metrostav, and prior to that he had worked in SSŽ (Vinci).

He holds a Masters degree from Prague Technical University. He is a graduate of CEU‘s Corporate Governance Program in cooperation with the Center for International Private Enterprise, Fordham University, New York.

Photo Petr Formánek Petr Formánek

Petr Formánek is Executive Director responsible for business development and sales in the Corporate Finance department, having joined Patria in 2005. He has 20 years of professional experience in both Investment and Commercial Banking.

Petr’s main focus are equity capital markets whereby he co-leads teams that floated NWR, VGP, Kit digital, AAA Auto, ECM and Pegas Nonwovens on Prague stock exchange in various syndicate positions ranging from bookrunner and lead manager to selling agent. Also Petr organized offerings of Arcelor Mittal in the Czech Republic.

Prior to joining Patria, Petr headed GMAC Commercial Mortgage in Prague, worked as Treasurer of Komerční banka, and Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors of Credit Lyonnais Bank Praha and Senior Corporate sale of Credit Lyonnais Canada in Montreal. In these positions he worked on execution of eurobond issue mandates for ČEZ, Český Telecom, Delvita, Scottish Power, the City of Prague, Chemopetrol and Glavunion.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of Patria Corporate Finance, a.s.

Petr holds a university degree from Prague School of Economics.

Ondřej Palát is Executive Director in the Corporate Finance department. Ondřej joined Patria in July 2004. He is primarily responsible for transaction execution and business development with focus on valuations and the fields of IT and telecommunications.

His experience in Patria includes work on tender offers for Unipetrol, Spolana, Paramo, Česká Zbrojovka and Čechofracht, divestitures of Červa Export Import, Zenitel Colsys, Summit Motors CZ, LCS International, Hutní montáže Ostrava, Průmstav, VOKD, acquisition of HPFO pension fund, analyses and valuations mainly in the area of IT, telecoms and construction for companies such as Unipetrol, Czech Telecom, UPC, Mediatel, Inox and VAS.

Prior to joining Patria, Ondřej worked with a private equity fund active in Poland and the Czech Republic, with focus on financial reporting and project valuation. He participated on leveraged buy-out of Slovpack and divestiture of Lion Teleservices, B&BC and HAKI.

Ondřej is a member of the Board of Directors of Patria Corporate Finance, a.s., and holds a degree from the Prague School of Economics.

Petr Studnička joined Patria in July 2006 and currently works as Director in the Corporate Finance department. Petr is responsible for the execution and business development of M&A projects. Petr has extensive experience with running of sale and acquisition processes in many sectors with focus on the financial services and transport. Petr participated in the divestiture of Prague Stock Exchange to Wiener Börse, in the sale process of freight railroad provider Viamont Cargo and the divestiture of the telecommunication group GTS Central Europe. His experience also includes sale of Techniline to Cramo Group, sale of factoring company HP Finance to Coface Group, acquisition of Czech Airline Duty Free shops by Aelia/Lagardere, acquisition of Istrobanka by KBC Group and financial advisory services to Atradius and ČD Cargo.

Before he joined Patria, he had worked in PriceWaterhouseCoopers for 5 years. Besides leading audit engagements in the area of financial institutions and real estate, he was involved in corporate finance projects such as acquisitions and valuations of companies and loan portfolios.

Petr graduated at University of Economics, Prague with a major in international trade. He holds an ACCA degree and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants since 2005.

Photo Zoltán Tihanyi Zoltán Tihanyi

Zoltán Tihanyi has been working as Associate Director in Corporate Finance team of Patria Finance Slovakia since 2007.

Before joining Patria, he had worked as a Head of Corporate Credit Risk Department in one of the leading commercial bank in Slovakia. He has more than seven years of financial/banking and private equity business experience.

Zoltán is responsible for deal origination and execution of M&A deals as well as for execution of valuation projects and projects in general financial advisory. Among several others, Zoltán participated in the acquisition of Istrobanka for KBC Group as well as in the general financial advisory projects for Vamex – the leading bakery company in food processing industry. 

Zoltán holds a Masters degree from University of Matej Bel in Banská Bystrica, Faculty of Finance. Zoltán is a member of CFA Institut.

Zuzana Drlíková is an Associate in the Corporate Finance department which she joined in May 2006.

Zuzana is responsible for execution of M&A transactions and supports development of new projects.

Prior to joining Patria Zuzana worked as an analyst in BNP Paribas, Corporate Finance department, where she participated for example in the divestiture of VUES, Czech producer of servomotors and special electric machines and drives.

Her experience in Patria includes for example work on divestiture of VINIUM - Czech producer of wine, divestiture of Energetické opravny for ČEZ, divestiture of TECHNILINE – Czech rental company of aerials and divestiture of MATRICIDA – the spin-off part of GUMOTEX operating in chemical industry. Zuzana also participated for example on acquisition of energy company International Power Opatovice, acquisition of duty free shops located at Prague and Karlovy Vary Airports for international strategic investor – Lagardere Group and acquisition of Czech newspapers and magazines publishing company Economia for Finnish strategic partner.

Zuzana holds a Master degree and PhDr. degree in Economics from the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague, with a major in finance, financial markets and banking.

Jakub Burda is an Associate in the Corporate Finance department which he joined in September 2006. He provides analytical support to acquisitions and divestitures and participates in their execution.

He is mainly focused on transactions in construction industry and related segments.

His experience in Patria includes work on project for Viamont and  telco and electro-installation company GiTy. Further he participated in acquisition of RD Rýmařov by KATR, producer of pre-fabricated wooden houses and selling process of AVÍZO, producer of plastic packaging materials. Jakub is involved in several ongoing transactions in construction,  logistics and food industry. He participated in execution of analysis for construction company SKANSKA and for an international real estate company.

Jakub holds a Masters degree from the Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Civil Engineering, with a major in management and economics.

Fotka Martin Bansky Martin Bánský

Martin Banský has been working as Associate in Corporate Finance team of Patria Finance Slovakia since 2008. Before he joined Patria, he had worked at various positions in commercial banks as well as in financial advisory business. Martin participated in various M&A transaction, divestments valuations and privatizations. The most important transactions Martin took part in include divestment of Slovak Telekom, a.s. branch - Rádiokomunikácie, o.z., privatization of airports in Bratislava and Košice, privatization of Heating plants.

Prior to joining Patria, Martin worked as a Head of Structured Finance department in OTP Banka Slovensko.

Martin holds a Masters degree from University of Matej Bel in Banská Bystrica, Faculty of Finance.

Ivo Šenkyřík is an Associate in the Corporate Finance department which he joined in August 2007. Ivo is responsible for the execution and business development of M&A and ECM.

In the field of M&A, Ivo worked on divestitures such as, sale of the Czech electrometer manufacturer ZPA Smart Energy to El Sewedy Electrometer Egypt, specialized industrial building materials producers PANBEX to Sika, factoring company HP Finance to Coface Group or divestiture of fibre-optic network Zlín Net. Further, Ivo participated on equity issuance of New World Resources, AAA Auto and VGP. Prior to joining Patria, Ivo worked for a private equity company Kilcullen Kapital Partners where he worked for example on the acquisition of TNS Servis.

Ivo holds a Masters degree from the University of Economics in Prague, majoring in Finance and Business Valuation. Ivo is a holder of stock broking licence.

Matej Milata is an Associate in the Corporate Finance department which he joined in May 2008. He provides legal and analytical support to acquisitions and divestitures and participates in their execution.

His experience in Patria includes work on various projects such as divestiture of Česká Mincovna to strategic-financial consortium, entry of mezzanine provider Darby Overseas and consequently private equity MID Europa Partners to renewable company Energy 21 and financial advisory to notable clients Karlovarské Minerální Vody, Excon, AAA Auto, ČKD Kutná Hora, Wikov Wind and others.

Matej Milata holds a Masters degree from The University of Economics, Prague, with a major in Finance and JUDr. degree from the Faculty of Law, Charles University in Prague, with a major in Financial Law.

Olga Schwarzová is an Associate in the Corporate Finance department which she joined in March 2010. Olga is responsible for execution of M&A transactions and supports development of new projects.

Prior to joining Patria, Olga worked for Ernst&Young for 3 years. She worked in Assurance department as part of Global Financial Services team. Among her clients belonged CSOB, Brokerjet, Auxilium, CSOB IBS, Erste Corporate Finance and Patria Group.

Olga holds Masters Degree from Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Civil Engineering, with a major in Management and Economics.

Miroslav Horváth is an Analyst in the Corporate Finance department which he joined in November 2007. He provides analytical support to acquisitions and divestitures and participates in their execution.

Miroslav holds a Masters Degree from the University of Economics in Bratislava, , with a major in Finance.

Jiří Soustružník has more than 12 years of corporate finance & capital markets experience. His main focus is on company valuation. His most important projects include Unipetrol, GTC, TOS Varnsdorf, Nordisk Polska, Škoda Machine Tools, Antanta Capital, Llemi, SMZ.

Prior to joining Patria in 2000, Jiří worked in FAS department in Deloitte&Touche. He started to work as a Head of Research in Patria. Then he started to work in corporate finance.

Jiří holds a Masters degree from the CZU, Prague and an MSc degree from WAU in the Netherlands.
